Tourist Visa
Most visitors to Nepal require a tourist visa. This can be obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu or at designated border points.
Visa on Arrival
Visa Types: 15-day, 30-day, and 90-day multiple-entry tourist visas.
Required Documents:
Valid passport
Two passport-sized photographs
Visa fee in US dollars (exact amount depends on visa duration)
Visa Extension: You can extend your visa within Nepal at the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu.
Visa from Nepali Embassy or Consulate
If you prefer to obtain a visa before your trip, you can apply at the nearest Nepali Embassy or Consulate. This can be helpful for those who want to ensure their visa is ready before departure.

Foreigners, who want to apply for a visa to visit or stay in Nepal can apply for Visa through this application system. The Online system could be logged in to https://nepaliport.immigration.gov.np/ from any place and at any time. The Online Application System can preserve your application for 15 days in its system, so you can apply at your convenience and produce it before the Immigration Authority at the time of entry and visa extension. Department of Immigration is committed to providing quality and smart services to its online applicants.
Initially, the online service is available at the Department of Immigration, Kathmandu, and one of the ports of entry of the Immigration Office at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. You can apply online for all types of Visas except Diplomatic and Official at the Department. For Diplomatic and Official Visas, one has to apply online at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. All nationalities need a valid passport (except INDIAN) and a current Nepalese Visa for entry into Nepal. The easiest way to get your Nepal visa is on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Visa fees must be paid in cash. The most convenient currency to purchase Nepalese visas is US dollars, but GB pounds and Euros are also accepted. The charges for the visa depend on your length of stay (please see fee information below). Two passport sizes photos require.
Visa Fee.
01: USD $ 30 or equivalent foreign currency for Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 15 days.
02: USD $ 50 or equivalent foreign currency for Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days.
03: USD $ 125 or equivalent foreign currency for Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 90 days.
04. Visa Extension (within valid visa period) USD $ 3 Per Day.
05. Visa Extension (After Visa Expiration) Late fee USD $ 5 per Day.

05: Jamuna, Nepalgunj (Banke, Mid-Western Nepal).
06: Mohana, Dhangadhi (Kailali, Far Western Nepal).
07: Gaddachauki, Mahendranagar (Kanchanpur, Far Western Nepal).
Tourist Visa Extension.
A visa extension fee for 15 days or less is USD $ 25 or equivalent convertible currency and a visa extension fee for more than 15 days is US$ 3 per day Tourist visa can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days in a single visa year (January, December)
Gratis (Free) Visa.
Gratis visa for 30 days is available only for tourists of SAARC countries, Indian nationals do not require a visa to enter into Nepal.
Transit Visa.
A transit visa for one day can be obtained from Nepal’s immigration offices at the entry points upon the production of a departure flight ticket via Tribhuwan International Airport in Nepal, by paying USD $ 5 or equivalent convertible currency.
